OUR HISTORY
AFC was established in 1989 in Victoria. The company initially provided repair services to aircraft operators with deteriorated fuel bladders. In 1998, the company was purchased by Simon Whitehead and Helen Naylor, and re-located to Coolangatta Airport on the Gold Coast. Since then, we have expanded our sales and maintenance capabilities to include helicopter flotation systems, airplane fixed floats, cylinder hydrostatic testing, cargo hook overhaul and manufacturing and maintenance of aviation, automotive and marine fuel cells. AFC also specialises in support of military, rescue, fire fighting and police operators.

It was not long before we outgrew our Coolangatta facility so in 2003, AFC relocated to a new purpose built workshop and warehouse facilities in Molendinar (central Gold Coast) to accommodate the increased workload.

Over the last two decades, AFC has developed close working relationships and repair station status with all the major manufactures including American Fuel Cells and Coated Fabrics (Amfuel), Meggitt (formally EFC), FPT (GKN Aerospace), Safran Aerosystems (formally Zodiac Aerosafety Systems, Air Cruisers Co. and Aerazur), Onboard Systems & Dart Aerospace (formally Apical Ind.). These strong relationships ensure AFC has timely access to technical data, repair materials and parts.

We continue to expand our product and service offering, an example of this being our Bell 407 extended range belly-tank.
